You are my hero. I do not say that lightly since I have learned some of my most important life lessons from you. You have taught me that it is okay to fall down, and rise up again through the help of your friends. Falling down does not make you weak, and neither does getting help from your friends. You have taught me that sometimes everything in life falls apart. As a result we are unfair to the ones we love, but we can always bounce back. We don't always need to be the same person. Growth is important. The way we look at relationships can change, and that is perfectly okay.
You are the epitome of strength for me, yet you have shown that you are vulnerable and you like to hide. I have always struggled with that in personal life because I feel that no matter how strong I become a part of me is always vulnerable. I used to be hard on myself for that. I have learned to look at myself differently thanks to you. I used to believe that in order to be a strong person you cannot be nice. People will not take you seriously. When I started my internship in Politics I tried so hard to shed my nice image, I wanted to be the strong person, not the nice one. You have taught me I can be both. In fact my kind nature is my biggest strength. You have also inspired me to give more and ask for less in return. You have also taught me to not take myself too seriously. That was a lesson I needed to learn. Compliments are nice and criticisms are important, but they should not dictate my life.
I always felt so weird because my habits contradict each other. It is hard for me to explain to someone what type of a person I am because of this. Then I saw your weird habits that just don't go together. I never thought a man who raises farm animals would be obsessed with sushi, drink green tea, and do yoga. I have come to appreciate my weird likes and dislikes more because of you. So thank you!
Thank you for being a person I look up to. Thank you for helping me become the person I am. I always wanted to be this person, I just never felt too comfortable. Now I am.
Last but not least thank you for leading the most amazing team in the world.
